IodidePLUS
Corals use Iodide to limit the effects of excessive oxygen production from zooxanthellae found in their tissue. The iodide bonds with the oxygen creating a harmless Iodate.
Iodide is necessary to maintain the health and growth in not just corals, but also in fish. Depleted levels of Iodide will lead to the decline of coral health.
Many products sold today are a simple potassium Iodide mixture which is unstable and can convert into toxic iodine which is used as a bactericide in medical applications.
IodidePLUS is a blend of stabilized iodide, designed to maintain levels to that found in natural seawater. Its stable complex will not allow it to convert to toxic Iodine and will always remain biologically available to corals.
